About WANA
The Walnut Acres Neighborhood Association is an association of members who have joined together to preserve and protect Walnut Acres. It was formed in May 2006 as a voluntary unincorporated association with a Board of Directors elected by the members. In January 2013, WANA reorganized as a nonprofit public benefit corporation in the State of California. The Board of Directors determines WANA policy. The Board of Directors elects officers: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. WANA is supported by the voluntary annual contributions of its members. WANA is governed by its by-laws in accordance with California law.
WANA currently has over 250 member households including more than 400 individuals.
Walnut Acres is the contiguous neighborhood within the boundaries of the RA-1 zone, primarily lying north of the Calabasas Creek Wash, with the following general boundaries: South: the north side of Burbank Boulevard west of Fallbrook Ave. and Oxnard Street east of Fallbrook Ave; North: Sylvan Street; West: the east side of Manton Avenue; East: Fallbrook Ave. from Burbank Bl. to Califa St., and Sale Ave. from Oxnard to Sylvan St.
